A continuous line of oval-cut diamonds, set in U-shaped prongs around a slim 4mm band of solid gold or platinum. The U-prong setting (sometimes called shared-prong) sits beneath each diamond rather than wrapping over the top, exposing more of the stone and letting light enter from the sides and underneath as well as above — for maximum brilliance and fire.

Oval cuts bring an elongating, finger-flattering line that round brilliants can't — and set in formation around the band, they create a continuous, river-like rhythm of brilliant light running across the finger. At 0.15ct per diamond, the band sits at the ideal proportions for stacking: substantial enough to hold its own, refined enough to nestle alongside any engagement ring.

What is a U-prong eternity ring? A U-prong (or shared-prong) setting holds each diamond between U-shaped metal arches, with adjacent diamonds sharing the same prong. The U-shape sits beneath the diamond rather than wrapping around it from above, exposing more of the stone and letting light enter from the sides and underneath. The result is maximum brilliance with minimal visible metal.

Why does the U-prong setting maximise sparkle? The U-prong exposes more of each diamond's surface area than a traditional claw setting, allowing more light to enter and exit each stone. For oval cuts — which are designed for maximum light return — this is the most flattering setting style. The result is noticeably more brilliance and fire across the entire band.

What's the difference between half and full eternity? A half eternity has diamonds across the front of the ring only. A full eternity has diamonds set continuously around the entire band. Half eternity is more comfortable, easier to resize, and slightly more affordable. Full eternity reads more luxurious and is the original symbolic form.

Can a U-prong eternity band be resized? Half eternity bands can be resized like standard rings. Full eternity bands are more difficult to resize because there's no plain metal at the back to work with — but we can usually adjust within a small range.
