What is a comfort fit wedding band? A comfort fit wedding band has a slightly domed (rounded) interior surface, rather than a flat one. This subtle curve means the ring slides on and off more easily and sits more naturally against the finger — making it especially suited to wider bands and anyone new to wearing rings. The exterior still looks like a classic band; the comfort lives on the inside.

Is the comfort fit a unisex wedding ring? Yes — the comfort fit is one of the most popular unisex wedding ring styles in modern fine jewellery. While historically associated with men's bands (because the wider, thicker profile suits them well), it's equally chosen by women, partners selecting matching pairs, and anyone wanting a substantial everyday ring.

What's the difference between comfort fit and standard fit? A standard fit band has a flat interior — the inside of the ring is squared off where it meets the finger. A comfort fit band has a curved interior, which feels softer against the skin, doesn't pinch, and slides on more easily. For wider or thicker bands especially, comfort fit is significantly more comfortable to wear all day.

Can a comfort fit band be resized? Yes. Comfort fit bands can be resized like any standard band. We recommend confirming your size with our diamond concierge during your consultation to get it right first time.

Can I customise the width or thickness? Yes — every Deltora wedding ring is handcrafted to order. The classic comfort fit is shown at 5mm wide and 1.95mm thick, but we can craft yours wider, narrower, thicker or finer to suit your hand and preference.

Can the band be engraved? Yes. Internal engraving is available on every Deltora wedding band — a date, a name, a private line of script. The comfort fit interior actually leaves slightly more space for engraving than a flat-fit band.

Which metal looks best for a comfort fit band? All four work beautifully. Yellow gold reads warmest, white gold (pictured) reads most modern, platinum reads most architectural, and rose gold reads softest. Personal preference rules.
